Hello! I am a recent graduate of Louisiana State University's Ogden Honors College with a Bachelor of Interior Design and a minor in Art History. I am currently completing my master's degree at the New York School of Interior Design in Sustainable Interior Environments.
Originally raised in Memphis, TN, I proudly call Louisiana home now. My adventures in Louisiana have strengthened my desire to travel and explore the world. Through a study abroad program in Innsbruck, Austria, I was able to find inspiration and embark on many adventures for myself, while broadening my scope of knowledge in foreign countries. I actively enjoy finding the joy in everyday experiences, especially through creative design processes. My surroundings inspire my work through historical art and architectural elements, color schemes, and individuals' interactions with the world. I enjoy traveling, trying new things, and exploring new places and concepts. I am searching for a firm that brings joy to the spaces it designs while ensuring the wellbeing and safety of its inhabitants. I am eagerly looking for employment within a firm that will allow me to further progress on my journey to become a licensed interior designer. |
LEADERSHIP
Interior Design Student Organization President
As the Interior Design Student Organization President, my responsibilities included overseeing the development and membership of the organization, while coordinating and planning events and networking opportunities for students. Some of IDSO's events include the Thanksgiving Potluck which promoted interaction between different years in the program. Currently, IDSO is planning the Industry Expo which brings together vendors and representatives at LSU to familiarize students with various products and companies available to them as future designers. We also plan the final Design Event Showcase to present students' work and display the senior capstone projects to the rest of the college. IDSO works closely with the ASID and IIDA student chapters at LSU, ensuring students have access educational workshops, service projects, and professional networking opportunities. School of Interior Design Student Ambassador
The School of Interior Design selects Student Ambassadors to represent the school at events targeting prospective and incoming students. Student Ambassadors provide first hand information for incoming students about academics, facilities, and studio culture within the Interior Design program. Ambassadors are involved in information and Q+A sessions, tours, and recruiting events to promote growth within the program. |
Kappa Kappa Gamma
I have gained valuable experience and communication skills through 4 years of leadership positions within the Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity. Serving as the Corresponding Secretary for my chapter required direct communication with the Fraternity Headquarters, Executive Council, and all members, ensuring everyone was timely with submitting reports and communicating with members through weekly meetings and emails. As Risk Management Chairman, I coordinated and managed all risks associated with chapter functions and member wellbeing. This position required coordination with multiple vendors to obtain contracts and certificates of insurance for each event before submitting and receiving approval from the National Headquarters. I coordinated speakers and events that promoted mental health and physical wellbeing of over 300 women, further progressing my interpersonal skills. My final position with Kappa Kappa Gamma includes my involvement with the chapter's New House Design Committee and Transition Team. As the active member representative on the committee, I speak on behalf of the chapter during meetings with the architects, interior designer, contractor, and House Advisory Board. I have had the privilege to assist with design selections and various fundraising opportunities. |
